Take Me There by Susane Colasanti

Summary: Rhiannon is devastated after the break up with her boyfriend and desperately wants him back. But love comes easy for Nicole. Her ex is still in the picture, pining for her, but she can’t help having a new crush. And then there’s James, hopelessly in love with his best friend, Rhiannon, who is too blind to see that their friendship can be so much more. Just when things couldn’t get more complicated, the school’s resident mean girl decides she is intent on ruining everyone’s life. James, Nicole and Rhiannon are not going to let slide, but will their desire to take down the mean girl bring these three friends exactly what they want?

My Thoughts: This tale has likable and realistic teen characters. It takes place over an event-filled week, with Rhiannon, Nicole, and James telling the same story from their individual perspectives. Rhiannon is devastated by her recent breakup with Steve. Nicole has broken up with Danny for no apparent reason, and he is determined to win her back. James, who has always been Rhiannon's best friend, is finding his feelings for her undergoing a dramatic change. Many humorous events occur, including Rhiannon's surefire plan to get Steve back that backfires.I really love split narration as I like to hear all sides of the story! My favorite character has to be James. I love reading his parts because he is the kind of guy that is sweet to Rhiannon. I kind of disliked Nicole in this book it was hard to picture why she broke up with Danny because he sounds so dreamy. I also liked Rhiannon in so of her parts, but she kind of went overboard into trying to get her ex back.

Overall: The ending could of been better, but it was an awesome read. I finished this book in one night because I couldn't help but read what happened in each of the characters perspective. It was an really interesting story, but it felt so short. Like after I finished I was like is that all?

Cover: This cover is so cute and adorable. I like that it doesn't show their face from all the books in front of them. :)

Just Listen by Sarah Dessen

Summary: Last year, Annabel was "the girl who has everything"--at least that's the part she played in the television commercial for Kopf 's Department Store. This year, she's the girl who has nothing: no best friend because mean-but-exciting Sophie dropped her, no peace at home since her older sister became anorexic, and no one to sit with at lunch. Until she meets Owen Armstrong. Tall, dark, and music-obsessed, Owen is a reformed bad boy with a commitment to truth-telling.With Owen's help, maybe Annabel can face what happened the night she and Sophie stopped being friends.

My thoughts: It’s the first day of school and Annabel is nervous.  Something happened last spring(which the reader doesn’t find out about until much later in the novel) that caused a rift between Annabel and her friends.  At lunch, she finds herself, alone, sitting near a mysterious, intimidating boy.  This becomes their routine, never speaking but always eating lunch “together”.  Eventually, of course, Annabel and the boy begin talking and find themselves becoming friends.  Also, as the semester goes on she faces what happened last spring and learns some things about herself along the way.
After finding out what happened to her that summer it got really interesting on how she handled things. I kept re-reading parts because it was so good. My thoughts on Annabel is that she is a strong and beautiful person, but sometimes she doesn't know how to handle things the right way. As for Owen, I absolutely loved his character, even though he listens to funky kind music I would have never listen.

Overall: This is one of my favorite Sarah Dessen book because I loved every moment reading it. From the beginning to end. The characters in this book made me root for each other. Also I love the message of Just Listen. It was a fun and romantic read and I finished this book in two days.

Cover: I like the cover, but it would have been nice to actually see someones face or even have Owen in it.

Forever by Judy Blume

Summary: Katherine is a high school senior when she meets -- and quickly falls in love with -- Michael. Her parents grow concerned about how much time they're spending together -- and it's true that they're together whenever possible. Soon they even begin a sexual relationship. But with high school ending -- and grown-up problems just beginning -- will their young love be able to last?

My Thoughts: It is a realistic look on teenage love and views on sex. The book, talking a lot about sex, is often challenged.
In the first chapter, Katherine meets a young boy, Michael, at a  New Year's Eve party. They go on a date the next day, become completely involved with each other, and as they continue to go out on dates he pressures Katherine more and more about sex. Everything seems to be just great, but when they are separated over the summer, Katherine learns that forever might not just be forever. She meets an older and more mature guy while working at the camp. Blume truly does tell a story of first love in Forever. It is a great book for teenage girls. This book is  a reminder that love is not always forever, and it doesn't have to be. Forever gives anyone who reads it an outlook on sex and love. I didn't think that this book was too explicit for anyone that is mature enough to read it. This book doesn't end with a perfect ending; just like life doesn't always. If you are looking for a story about love and truth, then this is a great book for you to read.

Overall: I thought this book was very informational to me about sex and first love. It was an eye-opener and it was actually funny during some parts. It was a quick read and I enjoyed it. :)
Cover: The book cover is cute, but maybe not really related to the plot of this whole book

The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen

Summary: Macy's summer stretches before her, carefully planned and outlined. She will spend her days sitting at the library information desk. She will spend her evenings studying for the SATs. Spare time will be used to help her obsessive mother prepare for the big opening of the townhouse section of her luxury development. But Macy's plans don't anticipate a surprising and chaotic job with Wish Catering, a motley crew of new friends, or ... Wes. Tattooed, artistic, anything-but-expected Wes. He doesn't fit Macy's life at all--so why does she feel so comfortable with him? So ... happy? What is it about him that makes her let down her guard and finally talk about how much she misses her father, who died before her eyes the year before? Sarah Dessen delivers a page-turning novel that carries readers on a roller coaster of denial, grief, comfort, and love as we watch a broken but resilient girl pick up the pieces of her life and fit them back together.

My Thoughts: I love her writing story and I seem to like the characters alot. We get to know Macy, who thinks she HAS to be perfect but really she does not want to be perfect. She feels guilty about her father passing away. I won't give too many details about that as its told very slowly in the book. But, we get to know her feelings and I felt myself relate to almost everything she felt. Macy's boyfriend thinks it would be best if they took a break over the summer while he goes and does his own thing. Except he wants her to take over his old job! She also starts working For Wish Catering and we get to know all the people who work there! Well, she than meets Wes. By the way, this guy is totally swooooonnn worthing! I fell in love with him over the course of the book and now I wish he was real! Are you real out there somewhere Wes? To sum it up, if you haven't read any of Sarah Dessen books, start off with this one, its a good romantic fun read!

Overall: Love Love Love Love this book!
The character Wes is so my Prince Charming I love him in it, as much as I like Macy in it too.

Cover: Its pretty! And, the way she is pulling the petals off the flower, totally romantic wouldn't you say? Love it

Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles

Summary: When Brittany Ellis walks into chemistry class on the first day of senior year, she has no clue that her carefully created “perfect” life is about to unravel before her eyes. She’s forced to be lab partners with Alex Fuentes, a gang member from the other side of town, and he is about to threaten everything she's worked so hard for—her flawless reputation, her relationship with her boyfriend, and the secret that her home life is anything but perfect. Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more.
In a passionate story about looking beneath the surface, Simone Elkeles breaks through the stereotypes and barriers that threaten to keep Brittany and Alex apart.

My Thoughts: We are introduced to Brittany, the golden girl and Alex, the boy who everyone is afraid of. Brittany is pretty, popular, has the guy everyone at school wants, she is perfect to everyone. Alex, is a badass, a gang member, a thug. Brittany and Alex couldn't be more opposite, their personalities, their lives, their whole existence but underneath it all, they are more alike then they think. Brittany is from the rich part of town, Alex is from across the tracks. Brittany and Alex get put together as lab partners in chemistry. They despise each other. They want nothing to do with each other. They both have their own set of problems. Brittany is trying to lead her life making everyone think she is perfect, trying to make her boyfriend happy, trying to live up to every one's expectations while Alex is trying to take care of his family the only way he knows how. Brittany gets under Alex's skin so Alex makes a bet with a friend that he can get into Brittany's pants. But the truth of the matter is, Brittany is a virgin and sex is the last thing on her mind right now.

Alex and Brittany spend more time together, fighting, arguing, bickering, while the sexual tension is always on the back burner just waiting to make an appearance. Brittany and Alex both go through so many struggles that is breaks me heart because more than anything I want them to end up together but the problems that lay before them are not easy. They start to care about each other as more than lab partners but they both deny their feelings for each other for a long time. There are side characters to make things interesting as well. Alex ex girlfriend Carmen, his family, and Brittany's friends and family. I was a little wary of Brittany at first because she is the typical snobby rich girl but she grew on me. Now Alex, he was a whole different story. I have a thing for bad boys and him being in a gang (which is not a good thing haha) just adds to his sex appeal. He was so tough on the outside but I knew on the inside he had a big heart. The mention of his tattoos made me blush even more. Through smart comebacks and sassy wit I fell in love with Brittany and Alex as a potential couple.

If you want an epic love story that will leave you wanting to savor every page Perfect Chemistry is a hit you'll want to run out to the store to buy as quick as you can! Thankfully I already have Rules Of Attraction on my bookshelf.

Overall: This is suppose to be my first post because this was the first book I ever read fully and started my love for YA books. It is going to be my favorite book of a life time and I still keep re-reading this awesome book with I have nothing to do at home. Love Love it and everyone should, it's my number one YA romantic fiction book :)

Cover: Really like it! And, look at his tattoo, could you think of anthing that sexy. While reading this book I could so picture these characters in my head. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

Waiting for You By Susane Colasanti

Summary: At the beginning of her sophomore year, Marisa is ready for a fresh start and, more importantly, a boyfriend. So when the handsome and popular Derek asks her out, Marisa thinks her long wait for happiness is over. But several bumps in the road—including her parents’ unexpected separation, a fight with her best friend, and a shocking disappointment in her relationship with Derek—test Marisa’s ability to maintain her new outlook. Only the anonymous DJ, whose underground podcasts have the school’s ear, seems to understand what Marisa is going through. But she has no idea who he is—or does she?
My Thoughts: We are introduced to Marisa who is quiet but she feels this is the year that could all change. She wants to be more witty, more outgoing, and she wants to date someone. She's never had a real boyfriend and that is what she is determined to get. She finally gets Derek to notice her (of course its after he dumps his popular girlfriend) but hey beggers can't be choosers right? Marisa starts a relationship with Derek while she gets paired up in class with Nash, an old friend. He also lives next store to Marisa but she hasn't really talked to him in years.
Marisa shouldn't be having second thoughts about Derek. She is finally with him so she thinks she needs to be happy. But all she can think about is Nash. The way he listens to her, the way he understands her. She has an anxiety disorder and she tells Nash about it and he understands and is there for her.

Enter guy 3 into the story. He is a local DJ and nobody knows his identity. Marisa listens to him on the radio every chance she gets. She enjoys him. She enjoys his advice. He's a real guy.

Marisa also has a friend named Sterling. Sterling is a good friend to Marisa but she's always dating the wrong guys. She tends to like them older. She is seen dating a few different guys throughout the story.

I was a big fan of Nash throughout the book. He seems like a nice guy. The kind of guy I would take notice in.

So, who does Marisa end up with? Nash, Derek, mystery DJ?

Overall: Loved it. One of my favorite Colsanti book's, this and When It Happens. It gets you picturing what is happening once you read this book, it was amazing.

Cover: Its really romantic. The way they are sitting on the dock. I like his glasses and the way her hair is in a ponytail. The cover also relates to the story, which does not happen much anymore. Usually the cover is way off base! Love it

When It Happens By Susane Colastani

Summary: At the start of her senior year, Sara wants two things: to get into a top college and to find true love. Tobey also wants two things in his senior year: to win Battle of the Bands and to make Sara fall in love with him. A popular jock named Dave, though, moves in on Sara first. But Tobey's quirky wit and big blue eyes are hard for Sara to ignore. Plus, he gets the little things that matter to her - like why she loves the Lloyd Dobler boom-box scene in the movie Say Anything....Can a slacker rock-star wanna be win the heart of a pretty class brain like Sara?

My Thoughts:  It was one of my guilty pleasure reads, you know one of those books you bought for a rainy day where you want to snuggle with it and read over a cup of hot cocoa. I started it and read it in one sitting! We meet Sara who is a beautiful next door type. She used to go out with Scott and is now interested in Dave, the popular jock. Tobey also catches her eye. Tobey is somewhat of a loner who used to date Cynthia but really wants to be with Sara. In his eyes, she is the perfect girl for him. But Sara is going out with Dave now, so how can Sara possible like him? There are the side characters, Tobey's best friends and Sara's best friends. I loved this book. There were a few lines that were somewhat graphic that I loved! They made me smirk. They made me laugh out loud! Also, there was a part about Tobey falling up the stars. That reminded me of myself, something I could see happening to me. This book was cute, fun, full of romance, and a perfect read in my eyes!! It also switches between Tobey and Sara's point of view. I love knowing what the characters are feeling. If you haven't read this, go get it right now!
Overall: Loved it plain and simple. Will be going on my keeper shelf.
Cover: Love the cover. It fits the book and is so cute! Love the way we can't see their faces but can see Tobey's guitar.

Return To Paradise by Simone Elkeles

Summary: In Leaving Paradise Caleb Becker returns to his hometown after being in Juvenile Detention for a hit and run. Caleb hit his neighbor Maggie after a night of partying…or so he allows the police to believe. After serving his time Caleb returns to find that his girlfriend is sleeping with his friend, his family has utterly fallen apart and he is inconveniently attracted to Maggie, the girl he purportedly hit with his car.

Maggie has been dealing with surgery and recuperation during this time, and is struggling with the fact that she will forever walk with a limp. But, through the help of a mutual friend and fate Maggie comes to forgive Caleb and return his feelings.

At the conclusion of Leaving Paradise (warning, spoiler alert) Caleb leaves town having convinced himself that everyone’s lives would be better without him. And, with the secrets and lies about what really happened the night of the accident festering between them Maggie is left on her own to endure Caleb’s abandonment.
Return to Paradise picks up 8 months later, when Caleb finds himself in jail for yet another crime he didn’t commit, and fate once again puts him and Maggie together. As the two teens spend the summer in close quarters they are unable to deny the feelings they still have for each other…and as the drama heats up Caleb must decide whether his secrets are really worth keeping after all.

My Thoughts: I loved the continuation of what might happen when they meet. It must be fate, but eight months has been a really long time to try and move on. I loved that Maggie got a new confident persona ever since Celeb left her. Things have changed, but the connection between the two has always drawn me in to reading this book. I love that Simone Elkeles does the alternating view points like her other books i've read from her like Perfect Chemistry, Rules of Attraction, and Leaving Paradise.

Overall: This is a must read if you read the sequel which is Leaving Paradise. This book Return to Paradise will answer all the unanswered points in the first book. I have to say I love this one because it made me feel for both Maggie and Celeb.

Cover: Okay the cover is adorable right? I loved it!! It so matches the point of this book that romance is in the air

Leaving Paradise by Simone Elkeles

Summary: Nothing has been the same since Caleb Becker left a party drunk, got behind the wheel, and hit Maggie Armstrong. Even after months of painful physical therapy, Maggie walks with a limp. Her social life is nil and a scholarship to study abroad - her chance to escape everyone and their pitying stares - has been cancelled.

After a year in juvenile jail, Caleb's free ...if freedom means endless nagging from a transition coach and the prying eyes of the entire town. Coming home should feel good, but his family and ex-girlfriend seem like strangers. Caleb and Maggie are outsiders, pigeon-holed as "criminal" and "freak." Then the truth emerges about what really happened the night of the accident and, once again, everything changes. It's a bleak and tortuous journey for Caleb and Maggie, yet they end up finding comfort and strength from a surprising source: each other.

My Thoughts: I found Leaving Paradise to be very surprising. I loved reading the often painful journeys of both Caleb and Maggie as they healed from their terrible experiences and were able to come to terms with the people that they had become.

Maggie has spent a year in physical therapy after the accident and her leg is scarred and she walks with a bit of a limp. She's finding it hard to adjust after her study abroad programme pans out as she's no longer a member of the tennis team. In fact, she doesn't do a lot of the things she used to do. Drive. Or spend any time with her friends. She doesn't like asking for help or seeing people feel sorry for her. She doesn't like people seeing her scars and when Caleb comes back from juvie, she's really scared. Until she sees that Caleb carries the scars of that day along with him, only his scars aren't as physical as hers. When Maggie goes to work as a companion for an old lady, she starts to come to terms with the person she has become and move on from her anger and resentment to what has been done to her.

At the same time, Caleb arrives back into town really angry. Angry at the way he's being treated differently from his old friends and his parents. His whole life has changed and on top of that, his mother is in denial and his sister has taken to wearing black and drawing into herself. He's got a parole officer on his butt all the time. Maggie and Caleb seem to be drawn together through their shared pain. But as I said, their romance isn't the main focus of the story.

It's like Maggie and Caleb both let other people and actions outside of their control determine who they are. During the course of Leaving Paradise we found out just how different Maggie and Caleb are from being a 'freak' and a 'criminal.' They're both very sympathetic characters and both their transitions are difficult. I found myself drawn to Maggie more than Caleb. She's vulnerable and unsure of herself, but she seems to have an inner strength and determination. Caleb is just too angry sometimes for me, he reminds me of someone I know. Both are healing from really terrible circumstances, and even hiding a secret or two...

Overall: I loved Leaving Paradise. It was very raw and emotional to read. I'm really glad that I read it and I shall definitely be reading more by Simone Elkeles!

Cover: I have both book covers that came out, but I perfer the new one because the old one was lacking the point the of the book.

The Ex Games by Jennifer Echols

Summary:
Hayden and Nick used to be a hot item, but their brief affair ended with a highly publicized breakup. Now the two are "just friends," excluding the occasional flirtation.
When Hayden wins the girls' division of a local snowboarding competition, Nick is unimpressed, claiming that Hayden wouldn't have a chance against a guy. Hayden calls Nick's bluff and challenges him to a head-to-head boarding contest. Their mutual friends quickly take sides, the girls on Hayden's and the boys on Nick's, making for an all-out battle of the sexes. This friendly competition is bound to get heated -- and they might end up igniting some old flames.

My Thoughts: This was so much fun to read. It had a lot of guessing if they were "just friends" or something more. I loved the flirting techniques that were portrayed in this book.  I'm all into the battle of the sexes theme because thats what also got in interested in reading this book as well because it does spice up the book. Also reading this book made me really interested in wanting to snowboard because it sounds so much fun while I was reading the terms they use for tricks and stuff.

Overall: I loved this book and mostly all of Jennifer Echols books. It was such a fun read I finished in one day because I just had to find out the ending. Loved it and everyone should read it because it was the first book I read that had the work "fire-crotch" in it and I thought that was hilarious

Cover: The cover didn't have realistic people, but the animated ones looked like what I had pictured while reading this awesome book

Girl v. Boy by Yvonne Collins & Sally Rideout

Summary: Luisa Perez is a sophomore in high school and probably one of the only students who has zero school spirit. Luisa and her friends work hard at avoiding all extracurricular activities. In a school with nine other sophomores named Luisa Perez (that is one diverse high school!), this Luisa does not particularly stand out. And she likes it that way. Except for the fact that she would like a boyfriend. However she doesn't think being an anonymous columnist for the school paper will help her in this respect so she's less-than-thrilled that her English teach volunteered her. even though Luisa views the column with trepidation, she decides that she does want to go to college and therefore she will need to put something on her college applications. Luisa's first assignment is to report on a battle of the sexes to see who can raise the most money for their school (the prize is getting an extra long winter break). Luisa will report on all events from the female point of view and an anonymous male columnist will report on events from the male perspective. Soon the columnists themselves are trading barbs back and forth about gender roles and relationships with the opposite gender. Luisa does not want to lose this battle, even though finding out who the male columnist is may ruin one of the best relationships she's ever had.

My Thoughts: Obviously I loved the high energy of the columns. There are plenty of (mostly clean) innuendos, insults and retorts thrown about. A battle between genders is always intense and fun to read about and this one did not disappoint. One of the best parts of the book is trying to guess who the male columnist is. It's not easy and while it becomes clear towards the end who is NOT the columnist, I didn't expect the big reveal. I thought the whole time that it was the first guy. The relationships Luisa has with family and friends are borderline three dimensional. The characters are developed but not quite fully there. Luisa, Grace and their mother have issues but these issues are never addressed head on so there is no resolution or goal setting. I really liked Paz though. He was the typical rough-exterior-soft-interior guy and I was rooting for him and Grace to work out (and for him to stop picking on Luisa). Luisa does become a character that is easier to identify with as she tries to balance four (!) different guys, she struggles with self-esteem and going too fast.

Overall: I finished this book in two days. It was a fun read because it was nice to remember how fun and not so fun high school events were. I actually loved this book and it kept me guessing who the boy columnist was the whole time reading it. Love anything romantic and anything that has a realistic teenage view on it.

Cover: I actually loved the cover and title. Thats the reason I bought the book in the first place. It has eye-popping color and its so cute :)

Going Too Far By Jennifer Echols

Summary: All Meg has ever wanted is to get away. Away from high school. Away from her backwater town. Away from her parents who seem determined to keep her imprisoned in their dead-end lives. But one crazy evening involving a dare and forbidden railroad tracks, she goes way too far... and almost doesn't make it back.

John made a choice to stay. To enforce the rules. To serve and protect. He has nothing but contempt for what he sees as childish rebellion, and he wants to teach Meg a lesson she won't soon forget. But Meg pushes him to the limit by questioning everything he learned at the police academy. And when he pushes back, demanding to know why she won't be tied down, they will drive each other to the edge - and over...

My Thoughts: Awesome! We meet Meg who is a typical girl who gets into trouble a lot. She likes to live on the edge a little bit and it tends to get her into trouble. She works at a restaurant of her parents and they just kind of get "by." Her parents have pretty much given up on her with the way she acts. She has an eyebrow piercing, a tattoo, and purple hair. She is a bit wild. She just wants to leave the small town and get out in the world and LIVE! She gets into trouble one night with a group of friends and a few cops/ambulances, typical emergency call; come and arrest them. Each of the teens have to pair up with one of the arresting people. Meg gets stuck with John, the one who actually arrested them that night. She does not like him at first, she doesn't like the authority. He tends to grow on her and she starts having "thoughts" about him but in the back of her mind, she is always wondering why in the world does she like this 40 year old cop? She's only a teen!!! Well, things aren't always what they seem and there is a lot more to John than meets the eye. If you want to know what happens to Meg and John, read the book. Why is John so mysterious, what is his deal? Does Meg ever change her ways? What happens next?
This book is Amazingly good . It is written in such a way that it reminds me of how me an my friend are at school. Jennifer Echols writes as if she where a teenager herself .
The cop is a teenager who was forced to become "The Adult" because of something that scarred his life . She went threw something in Her life that made her want to be at the edge at all times . But when they are together they both grow and see that they can move on and recover.

Overall: Loved this one! I couldn't stop reading once I hit the first page! Why aren't there more teenage police officer romance books? Where the teen falls in love with the cop? The only two that come to mind is this one. I keep re-reading this awesome book. LOVE IT!

Cover: The cover is what drew me to this book. There is just something about it. I really like it!

Rules Of Attraction By Simone Elkeles

Summary: When Carlos Fuentes returns to America after living in Mexico for a year, he doesn’t want any part of the life his older brother, Alex, has laid out for him at a high school in Colorado . Carlos likes living his life on the edge and wants to carve his own path—just like Alex did. Then he meets Kiara Westford. She doesn’t talk much and is completely intimidated by Carlos’ wild ways. As they get to know one another, Carlos assumes Kiara thinks she’s too good for him, and refuses to admit that she might be getting to him. But he soon realizes that being himself is exactly what Kiara needs right now.

My Thoughts: It's time to meet the second Fuentes brother! His name is Carlos and he's just as bullheaded as Alex (from Perfect Chemistry) was! He's got a chip on his shoulder and is just as much a bad boy! He is coming up from Mexico to live with his brother! But of course his brother lives in student housing and Carlos gets into trouble so he's forced to live with a professor! On his first day of school (while he's living with Alex) he meets a girl named Kiara. She is quiet, shy, and his complete opposite. The girl doesn't even know how to dress. She also stutters sometimes when she talks. Kiara gets assigned to show Carlos around the school and he purposely mocks her to get a rise out of her. He isn't happy about coming up to stay with Alex so he is just not a happy person.

He goes to live with the professor and guess who is his daughter! Yep, that is right, it's Kiara. Carlos luck can not get any worst! Or can it? He gets sucked into a lot of bad situations such as a drug dealing scheme but he feels he has no other way out. He also makes a deal with Kiara to be his fake girlfriend so he can get rid of a girl who wants him. Little does he know, he will actually start to fall for Kiara.

I loved Rules Of Attraction just as much as Perfect Chemistry. Alex and Brittany are also main characters throughout the story so we are reintroduced to them and get to follow through on what happened to them! Rules Of Attraction was just as great as Perfect Chemistry! The chemistry between Kiara and Carlos is definitely there.

Carlos has to make a lot of tough decisions throughout the novel and he has a hard life, just as Alex did! Go read Rules Of Attraction now!

Overall: Loved it! I really liked Carlos, not quite as much as Alex but he was definitely as hot as Alex. His tattoo which said rebel totally did me in! I also like the way what Elkeles writes, feels real. The sex scenes in Perfect Chemistry and Rules Of Attraction are satisfying enough to leave readers with that feel good feeling without all the graphic details. Also yet again got to love the alternating point of views.

Cover: Love it! I love it even more than I love Perfect Chemistry! It's hot! And the mention of cars throughout the book just magnifies this cover more!

Endless Summer By Jennifer Echols

Summary:

Two irresistible boys. One unforgettable summer.

Lori can't wait for her summer at the lake. She loves wake boarding and hanging with her friends—including the two hotties next door. With the Vader brothers, she's always been just one of the guys. Now that she's turning sixteen, she wants to be seen as one of the girls, especially in the eyes of Sean, the older brother. But that's not going to happen—not if the younger brother, Adam, can help it.

Lori plans to make Sean jealous by spending time with Adam. Adam has plans of his own for Lori. As the air heats up, so does this love triangle. Will Lori's romantic summer melt into one hot mess?

Endless Summer is the sequel to The Boys Next Door. This edition includes both The Boys Next Door and Endless Summer.

My Thoughts: I'll start by saying this book contains The Boys Next Door which was published a few years ago and the sequel Endless Summer. In The Boys Next Door we meet Lori and the Vader boys, Sean, Adam, and Cameron. Cameron is in college, Sean is getting ready to go away to college, and Adam is still in high school. He's in Lori's grade. Lori lives next door to the boys but she never really sees them during the school year so she looks forward to the summers. She gets to spend the summer working for the boy's family so she gets to spend everyday with them and every weekend going to their amazing parties.

This summer Lori makes a vow to get Sean to finally notice her. Of course he does flirt with her but he flirts with all the girls! So, she hatches a plan with Adam to make her look like she's girlfriend material so they date each other. He also wants to make Rachel jealous. Rachel is a girl who he was dating.

Lori and Adam spend lots of time together and things go as planned. Lori thinks Sean is becoming jealous and her plan is working!

The Boys Next Door was so much fun!

Onto Endless Summer, we are back with the full cast of characters. Endless Summer only takes place a few weeks after The Boys Next Door so we are still reading about the same summer. We are back with Lori dating one of the Vader brothers. (don't want to give away spoilers).

Lori and mystery guy get caught staying out all night, they really did fall asleep. Her dad forbids her from seeing him and so she gets the idea that she will date boys worst so than her dad comes around and lets her date him again. I also loved the Tree house Scene! I don't want to give away too many spoilers; I don't want to ruin it for you!

Overall: Endless Summer was such an amazing book. It was a really thick book and I stayed up late reading it and finished it within two days! I loved it! I adore Jennifer Echols and I will read anything she writes! I loved the Vader brothers. Adam was my favorite! Loved this book!!!

Cover: Love It! I do like the cartoon covers but I really love this one!
